My name is Elizabeth Marland and I am the Owner/Manager of EAM House. Being the owner means that the care the children receive is of the highest quality as I insist on certain standards. I have 29 years of nursing experience with children, this includes working at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Booth Hall and more recently at Francis House Children's Hospice, which taught me a great deal about caring for children with complex health needs. I then managed a Children's Community Nursing Team, and had a caseload of children with whom I visited. Most recently I have been employed as a Senior Lecturer in Children's Community Nursing at Manchester University I have a wealth of knowledge and hands on experience of children with complex health needs. As the Owner/Manager I am here 7 days a week to oversee the running of the home and the care that the children receive. I am also available on an on-call basis to provide support to the staff. My aim is that the children we provide care for have the best possible care and social care and that I am always available to meet with the family. My Name is Jane Drewett, Manager, EAM Lodge I am the Manager for the new home, EAM Lodge, soon to be opened for young people with complex health needs and disabilities. I have 30 years nursing experience working with both children and adults. Much of this has been working with children and young people with complex health needs and disabilities, both in hospitals and in the community. I have previously managed a short term respite care facility in London and worked at Francis House Chidlren's Hospice and The Children's Trust, Tadworth. My aim is to manage EAM Lodge so that we provide the highest standards of care for young people, including access to social opportunities appropriate to their age and involvement in the local community. My Name is Elizabeth Wall-Malcolmson, Deputy Manager and Children's Nurse I qualified as a children's nurse in 2007 after training at the University of Salford. I previously spent 3 years at Pendleton College studying Health and Social Care at GNVQ and AVCE level. I started working as part of the nursing staff at EAM House in 2008 and in 2009 became Deputy Manager. I am competent in tracheostomy care, and am currently undertaking ventilation training. I provide support and training to all the staff at EAM House, to ensure we provide a high standard of care. Being part of the staff at EAM House has allowed me to fulfill my ambition of working with children who have complex and learning needs. My Name is Ashley Morris, Children's Nurse I am one of the nursing staff at EAM House. I am a newly qualified children's nurse after completing my training at the University of Huddersfield. I wanted to work at EAM House due to developing a profound interest in children with complex needs and disabilities. I am also responsible for providing robust competency based training for all the carers.
